A website does not need to be large to work well. It needs to answer a visitor's questions quickly and make contacting you easy. Use this checklist to review yours.
The checklist
- A clear headline. Say what you do and where, in plain words, above the fold.
- Mobile-first design. Many visitors browse on their phones, so check every page on a small screen first.
- Fast loading. Compress images and avoid heavy videos. Test your pages with Google's PageSpeed Insights.
- Easy ways to contact you. Add a WhatsApp button, a tap-to-call number and an email address on every page.
- Trust details. Show your company name, registration number, address or service area, and real photos instead of generic stock images.
- A page for each service. A separate page for each service explains it properly and gives Google more to show in search.
- Local search signals. Link to your Google Business Profile, show your address and add a map if customers visit you.
- SEO basics. Give each page its own title, a clear meta description, sensible headings and descriptive image alt text.
- HTTPS and a privacy policy. A secure connection and a short privacy policy show visitors you handle their details responsibly.
- Tracking. Set up analytics and enquiry tracking so you can see where customers come from and improve over time.
Consider two languages
If your customers use both English and Bahasa Malaysia, offering both helps them trust you and helps you appear in more searches.
Where to start
If you can only fix three things this week, fix your headline, your mobile layout and your contact options. They are quick and they affect every visitor.
